Re-Designing the website

So I am thinking on re-designing my site into a more modern content. So far I have asked around and came with a structure that I hope that will work okay for the first part of my work. The content will include:

  • Community
  • Technologist
  • Entrepreneur
  • Life
  • Blog and Contact

At least  for the first part this looks pretty good, so the idea is to update my experience on what I am currently doing right now. Basically my involvement with OpenOffice.org, the work I do and the talks I have given.  Also my recent upcoming into Mozilla Mexico and what I’ve been able to do so far.As far as technology it will go more technical like languages, frameworks, system administration, network setups and just basically geeky stuff. Also my training courses and different things that seem to be very upbeat now.Entrepreneurship will have some of the articles and different things that I have been working like clic and the training business.Finally Social will be surrounding my friends around the world and how my life has been as part of social interaction and life experiences. Places I’ve been, and overall description of who I am.Blogs and contact might be the first part but since I wont be adding anything new I rather just keep it like that.

Linux TV soon to come a reality?

So my pipe ream for a while has been having a linux TV with 24hr information or at least 5 shows on a weekly time basis. With the popularity of sites like UStream or Stikcam, there is little to wait until the next linux geek will launch the Linux.TV show. So far a couple of crazy guys are already doing this, hope more people will follow chase.

Mozilla presentation at FONASOL

So lately, I been having a lot of content, and I mean a lot of it. We are talking about almost 6 month of content which will slowly be crep in. One of the most recent and relevant news is that I am part of the Mozilla team. I am still with OpenOffice.org but Mozilla contacts evolved to make me a co-founder of the Mozilla Mexico group. Also the Mozilla marketing group has been pretty active, from FONASOL, to FLISOL to the Mozilla Download day.

Here are some of the memories from the FLISOL event where I was very involved and came out with pretty good material.

The presentation went pretty good and I hope we can get some comments on how to improve this community.

So currently I am looking into the development of new business opportunities with FLOSS. One thing that I want to get is the deployment of these DVD instructional videos. This videos and material will be available through out the internet.

New technology on Firefox

Firefox is a great browser and piece of software with Firefox 3 coming new technology on:

  • Anti-Spam
  • Anti-Fishing
  • Presentation layout
  • Research and development

I think the new Firefox will make it easier to write extensions and themes and also integration with the rest of the Mozilla tools. I would love to see the work that the Mozilla messaging will come up with under lightning project in respect to Firefox.
